"In line with the preventive measures against the spread of Covid-19 Dubai Economy extends the circular on the closure of commercial activities until the end of the National Disinfection Programme on the 18th of April 2020. The exempted sectors will operate as usual"

The Department of Economic Development has released a circular today ( 6th April 2020) clarifying the work arrangement for commercial establishments and specifically suppliers of building materials & A/Cs to construction and contracting sectors during the extended National Disinfection Programme.

The merchants fined for tampering with prices included nine pharmacies in Nad Al Hamar, Al Mizhar, Nad Hessa, Sheikh Zayed Road, Hor Al Anz, A Twar, Al Qusais, Umm Suqaim and Al Warqa, and five others included two supermarkets and suppliers, said a statement issued by Dubai Economy on Sunday.

The authorities acted against the three pharmacies following consumer complaints and due follow-up and investigations, which proved the allegations correct.
