Emirates Cargo connects New Zealand exports to rest of the world
As of tomorrow (Sunday, May 3), Emirates Air Cargo will start shipping service to New Zealand at a rate of 4 flights per week, to help connect New Zealand companies with their main markets around the world. The carrier works with the New Zealand government under the government program "Global Air Freight Capacity ( IAFC )," which aims to facilitate the transportation of New Zealand exports to the rest of the world, and to ensure the continued arrival of essential supplies shipments to the country.
Emirates Air Cargo will operate 3 flights per week (Dubai - Auckland - Melbourne - Dubai), and one trip per week (Dubai - Sydney - Christchurch - Sydney - Dubai) using Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft . The carrier thus provides vital shipping lines to transport high-quality New Zealand exports, such as chilled meat, honey, dairy products and seafood, to many destinations in the Middle East and Europe. The air service will also help ship medicines and medical devices to the Middle East, Europe and Africa markets.
Nabil Sultan, Senior Vice President, Emirates Air Cargo Department, expressed his satisfaction with working with the New Zealand government to assist in transporting exports of high-quality fresh products and other essential exports from Auckland and Christchurch. He said: "We feel it is our duty to ensure the ability to supply our major markets with food supplies and other essential supplies, as well as support New Zealand exporters at the same time."
The Emirates Air Cargo operates flights with its fleet of Boeing 777F cargo planes , as well as Emirates aircraft intended for Boeing 777-300ER passengers, to serve more than 60 destinations across the six continents. Since the outbreak of the "Covid-19" pandemic, the cargo arm of Emirates Airlines, through its regular and charter flights, has continued to transport thousands of tons of food and vital medical equipment across the world
